El Regreso – Manchuela, Spain
Jacivera is another endangered native variety that Julián Ruiz has rescued from near extinction. Deeply rooted in the vineyards of Manchuela, it produces wines with remarkable concentration while retaining freshness thanks to the region's significant day-night temperature differences.
Fermented naturally and aged with minimal intervention, the wine reflects both the rugged landscape and the philosophy of the estate: authenticity above perfection.
Dark cherry, blackberry, cracked pepper and dried Mediterranean herbs dominate the nose, while the palate combines firm structure with elegant acidity and a long savoury finish.
