Moravia Agria is one of Spain's great forgotten red grapes. Naturally high in acidity and capable of retaining freshness even in the warm climate of inland Castilla-La Mancha, it produces reds unlike anything else in the region.
Julián Ruiz treats the variety with enormous respect, allowing spontaneous fermentation and gentle extraction to highlight its naturally vibrant character rather than overpowering it.
The result is a wine full of sour cherry, wild raspberry, Mediterranean herbs and delicate spice. Fresh acidity and fine tannins create a wine that is both energetic and exceptionally versatile at the table.
